Friends and Family!
I want you to all know that I am doing well in the MTC and I love being a missionary. The language is coming along very well. It is a little difficult, but I know if I put all of my faith and trust in the Lord, he will bless me. I also know that I need to do my part and put forth all my effort. After all, He and the spirit are the best teachers! I have been training by teaching "investigators and inactives" and it is going really well. I am becoming more confident with the material and the language. Yesterday, I accomplished one my goals, and that was to pray in Tagalog without using any notes... and I did it! It was amazing and I know that the spirit definetly helped me.
Today, I went to the temple and did a session. While I was waiting to do the session, I tried talking to as many Filipinos as I could! I kinda looked like a creep, but I was just getting practice for when I go out into the mission field. I tried to talk in as much Tagalog as I could and I felt like I did pretty well.
So, the weather here is always hot, whether its night or day rain or shine-- its like 90 degress with humidity always! But that's okay, I can handle it! And the food is pretty good! Its Rice...and like every kind of meat you could imagine... I just choose not to ask. But we were lucky the other day and had hamburgers and fries. Thats my kind of American food!
I want you to all know what an amazing feeling it is to have the constant companionship on the spirit and that you don't have to be on a mission to have it. It is an amazing feeling and will really make a difference in your life if you invite it into your life. So, I encourage all of you to continue to read your scripures and pray always and you can have it too. I love you all and you are all in my prayers! I miss you and please makes sure you email me! I love hearing from everyone!
